Purpose:

Peter Schnell and my goal was to design and fabricate a pair of rollerblades that could be conveniently worn over regular shoes using snowboard-style bindings. The project focused on applying advanced manufacturing techniques, including thermoforming polycarbonate for the ankle support and polyurethane molding for the wheels, while producing all other components from scratch. We aimed to create a practical, fully functional set of rollerblades with an efficient in-house manufacturing process for mass-producing custom wheels, both for this prototype and other rollerblades.
